NITDA Blockchain Scholarship For 30,000 Nigerians

The NITDA Blockchain Scholarship, 2022 Scheme has been announced by the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) in partnership with Domineum Blockchain Solutions. The program aims to train 30,000 Nigerians in blockchain technology so they may advance their careers in the field.

According to the national vision for a digital economy, the National Digital Economy Policy and Strategy (NDEPS),  the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has launched a number of projects to reskill and upskill Nigerians from all socioeconomic backgrounds. A strategic strategy for achieving NDEPS is being developed by NITDA as part of its Strategic Roadmap and Action Plan (SRAP).

Africa has the chance to close the technological gap with other continents by becoming early adopters and experts in the blockchain business while blockchain technology is still in its infancy and ushers in the fourth industrial revolution.

Domineum Blockchain Solutions is the program’s implementing partner, while BSV Blockchain Academy is in charge of creating the course materials.

Benefits Of The Scholarship 

Outstanding teams in the project phase stand the opportunity to join an incubation program in London while others will be exposed to the BSV Ecosystem where they can be involved with various projects.

The NITDA Blockchain Scholarship (NBS) programme will enable the participants gain new skills that will help them take their ventures to the next level.

Eligibility 

• The Scholarship is open yo every Nigerian,  despite your religion, state of Origin nor language.
• Applicants must be 18 years and above.
• Some knowledge of coding will be an advantage
• All applicants must show commitment and determination.
• Applicants must have access to either a laptop or a desktop computer.
• You must be willing to work for at least 20hrs per week.
• No prior programming experience is required.

 

Application opened on 31st October and will shut on the 28th November, 2022 and course starts on 1st December, 2022. .

Course Duration: 3 months

 

Note: The program will be delivered through a hybrid mode (virtual and physical meetups) in all the states of the federation.
