Scholarship Eligibility

To be eligible for the International Freshman Merit Based Scholarships in USA candidates must have high school certificates with a good academic record.

a. Application Process

  1. Northwood University accepts applications for undergraduate students for the Fall (August) and Spring (January) intakes only.
  2. No applications are accepted for a Summer intake (May).
  3. Postgraduate (DeVos Graduate School) applications are accepted for Fall, Spring, and Summer intakes, though summer courses may depend on enrollment.
  4. Applications must be submitted no later than 60 days before the intake applied for.

b. Also note that:

  1. There will be a $50 application fee (no waivers available) starting on March 1, 2024.
  2. Upon admission, students must submit a $500 commitment deposit, of which $300 is refunded in the event that their visa application is denied. The $200 that remains is kept as the processing cost for the i20.
  3. Documents submitted are not returnable; they become the property of Northwood University. Make sure you turn in certified copies of documents that are valuable originals.
